Kirnjeet, Founder of Check-mate Editing & Realm Of Inner Light
📍 Based in Delta, BC | Visit Check-mate Editing | Visit Realm of Inner Light

About Kirnjeet
I spent most of my working life on the administrative side of the health care system but left my job as a project analyst in a hospital PMO when my husband, daughter and I relocated from Ontario to BC. In order to be home with my daughter, I decided to launch my own editing/proofreading company. It’s been difficult without having family as backup for help with my daughter, and I hit a very low point. I realized the importance of self-care and it led me to completing my Reiki certification to help me manage my emotions and stress, as well as menstrual cycle coaching certification to help me learn more about my body and how it works. I now offer Reiki and menstrual cycle coaching as part of my second business: the Realm of Inner Light.
What She Does
Check-mate Editing: I can help improve any written content! I assist with spelling/grammar as well and ensure that my client’s message is coming across clearly and concisely. I look at content from an objective point of view (i.e. a potential customer) and provide feedback.
Realm of Inner Light: I provide in-person and distance Reiki healing. I also guide women on their own personal journey to learning more about their bodies with regards to their menstrual cycle. I provide a safe space to ask questions, vent, and learn (I do NOT diagnose) and my goal is to empower women to look at themselves with pride rather than shame when it comes to their period!
Her Why
I remember days when I’d come home from working at the hospital and I’d be drained, and not want to go back the next day. I enjoyed my work but it was stressful and draining. But when I’m editing, I am SO happy and fulfilled. I’m always silently editing things in my head, so the fact that I can do it and get paid for it is the best case scenario! And growing up in a patriarchal society/culture had a profound effect on me as a person. It’s only as I’ve grown up that I’ve really embraced being a woman. Reiki has helped me connect with who I am on a deeper level, and learning about my menstrual cycle has helped me identify the best times to complete certain business tasks, based on where I am in my cycle! I am committed to sharing this knowledge with other women so they can become the best version of themselves.
Why She Joined the Creator Society
I joined the Creators Society because from the very first event I attended, I felt included and like I finally belonged somewhere. Moving to a new city and leaving all my family and friends behind was really hard, and it was pretty lonely when we first got here. But I’ve slowly started to make friends and Christine has always been so supportive and encouraging. I was really shy at the first content creation workshop I attended and Christine got me out of my shell and helped me create one of my very first introduction reels for my Instagram! I am looking forward to getting to know other members, making new friends, and learning from everyone!

Krista Hansen, Take Three Coaching
📍 Based in Fort Langley | Visit TakeThreeCoaching

About Krista
I’m a lover of deep connections, sunshine, and my morning cup of coffee. During my 17 years leadership, I was fully immersed in hustle culture—believing that the more you do, the better you are, and that stress is just something to “suck up and leave at the door.” Over time, I developed habits that led to chronic stress. I finally admitted I was burned out after landing in the ER with a stress-related injury. While earning my graduate certificate in mindfulness-based teaching and learning, I discovered a simple yet powerful tool—mindfulness meditation—that ultimately helped me recover.
What She Does
I support leaders and high achievers to find balance, align their work with their values, and succeed without sacrificing their well-being. I teach you how to gain that bird’s-eye view of your life instead of being stuck in the hamster-wheel, reacting to every thought. I help you identify the habitual behaviors that contribute to long-term stress and burnout while cultivating habits that support well-being—creating a ripple effect that leads to success and financial growth
Her Why
I know what it feels like to burn out, and I don’t want others to go through the same thing. So many high achievers don’t realize that they have more control over mitigating burnout than they think they do. I want everyone to know that you don’t have to stay stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, overcommitting, and chronic stress to be successful.
Why She Joined the Creator Society
I know how important consistency is in business, which the Creator’s Society supports this through our monthly mastermind workshops. After attending other YVR creative events, I saw firsthand how supportive the women are and how passionate Christine is about empowering women in business.
